The Materials

Outdoor furniture should be comfortable AND be made to withstand the elements. Certain materials just won’t cut it and will disintegrate under the summer sun. You wouldn’t buy a living room sectional every season, right? That’s why we’re particular about the materials we use – so your furniture will last for years and years.

Fabric

Ajna Living furniture is exclusively designed with Sunbrella® fabrics. If you’ve been shopping for outdoor furniture, then you know about Sunbrella. It’s the only fabric out there designed to withstand the elements and everything you can throw at it.  Solution-dyed and 100% acrylic, Sunbrella comes with a five-year guarantee against fading and ripping. It repels liquids, it’s tough to stain and can be hosed off for regular cleaning.

It’s soft, strong and made to last, and that’s why we don’t use anything else – and neither should you.

Cushions

We use high-density, open-cell foam, giving your cushions the perfect combination of comfort and durability. Your living room sofa is comfy... shouldn’t your patio sofa be too?

Our high-density foam seats will have you lounging all day long. Firm, but plush, our foam is open-cell, so any water that does make its way through the cover will easily drain when the cushion is turned on its side. That means you won’t have to worry when rain comes... it’ll dry easily and be ready to enjoy in no time.

Weave & Frame

Our frames are made of 100% PE Resin. Constant exposure to the elements means your furniture needs to be woven from a material that can stand up to everything... and still look good. PE resin is made from thousands of strands of recycled plastic and is incredibly resilient. It can be hosed off, left in the sun, rain and snow, and still looks brand new year in and year out while still retaining the look of natural rattan. Don’t mess with shimmery, fake looking PVC or crack prone natural fibers... after one season you’ll be kicking yourself.

Each frame is individually built with powder-coated aluminum. 24/7 outdoor exposure and seasonal changes lead to corrosion for most metals... but not aluminum. Aluminum is lightweight but also super sturdy, and that’s why it’s our choice for the frame of our products. Because our sectionals are modular, the lightness of aluminum allows them to be re-positioned easily while also providing a strong, hefty base. The powder coating adds an additional layer of protection against the elements.
